EL PASO - Il cantautore statunitense Khalid ha annunciato che terrà un concerto il cui ricavato verrà totalmente devoluto alle famiglie delle vittime della strage di sabato.
Il legame tra il 21enne e la città texana è molto forte: si è trasferito lì da adolescente ed è il luogo dove ha conseguito il diploma. «Nei giorni scorsi ho pensato ai modi in cui aiutare e sostenere la città» ha scritto sui social. «Il mio cuore e la mia mente sono stati pesanti. Sentire e vedere che un atto di terrorismo è avvenuto così vicino a casa, alla mia famiglia e ai miei amici è stato incredibile e scioccante. Cantare "915" e "City of El Paso" in tour ogni notte è qualcosa d'indescrivibile».
Lo show si dovrebbe tenere entro la fine del mese di agosto. Ci penserà lo stesso Khalid a fornire informazioni.
